A Zöld New Deal (Green New Deal) néven megfogalmazott elképzelések célja, hogy hasonlóan ahhoz, ahogy a New Deal az 1930-as években korszerűsítette az akkori Egyesület Államokat, az akkori problémákra adott válaszként, határozott politikával találjanak megoldást a kibontakozó éghajlati válság és a súlyos társadalmi egyenlőtlenségek problémájára. Az elképzelést heves szakmai és politikai vita övezi. Az American Society for Public Administration virtuális szimpóziumot szervezett a témában. A viszonylag rövid szakmai anyagok a szervezet kiadásában megjelenő Public Administration Review speciális szekciójában (Bully Pulpit) mindenki számára elérhetőek. A gazdag kínálatból abban a reményben válogattunk, hogy itthon is hasznosak lehetnek az ott megfogalmazott gondolatok.
